Tandem Kayaking

Very few rivers in the world offer white water tandem kayaking, and even less at this level! You’ll tackle huge waves and hydraulics all under the expert guidance of one of the Nile’s most experienced instructors. Should you flip upside down, all you need to do is hold on tight and your guide will roll you back up again.

Tandem kayaking is an awesome experience for thrill seekers wanting to truly tackle the Mighty River Nile; sat down at river level, you’ll get a real feel for the size and power of the river. It’s just you and your guide working together, so you can decide where you go and which waves to smash your way through!

No previous kayaking experience is necessary.

Full Day Whitewater Kayaking

This full day experience aims to give you a taste of the thrill, challenge and sense of accomplishment that people enjoy with white water kayaking. Starting out on the calm water on the river outside the lodge, you’ll learn the basic strokes, plus you’ll practise exit and rescue techniques.

After lunch you’ll test your newfound skills on an exciting stretch of white water and finish the day with a true sense of achievement and a celebratory beer or two! As the River Nile is so deep and warm, and with no rocks to worry about, it makes for a safe but thrilling one-day experience that is suitable for complete novices.

Half Day Whitewater Kayaking

If you haven’t got a full day available, we offer half day white water kayaking trips, where you’ll head straight to the white water action. The half day experience will give you all the buzz and sense of achievement our white water kayakers feel after a few hours tackling the Nile’s famous rapids.
